Various tourism potential of the Simeulue island owned the main attraction for tourists. But it was not enough to invite more tourists. Various plans undertaken by local government to promote tourism Simeulue Island Simeulue Island. As always happens in remote areas in Indonesia, many plans will always be constrained by various factors, especially factors of attention from the provincial government and a minimal central government towards disadvantaged areas. In the absence of great attention from the provincial and central government of course the necessary funds to build an area to be blocked even none at all.
With the current system of regional autonomy was implemented in Indonesia into an opportunity in lagging regions including Simeulue Island to explore the potential itself in producing original income to be used to build the region.
Theoretically, local autonomy to raise the dignity of the area, but in reality, not all areas to be developed thanks to regional autonomy. Various underlying causes ketidakmajuan areas include working mentality of both the executive and legislative officials who often do not side with the people.
If seeing the development of political situation, economic, social and cultural Simeulue Island today, Regional Government Business Simeulue Island to develop tourism into a retrorika. Hence the need for awareness of the various parties, both government and society. Both the central and regional governments to seriously develop the tourism industry on the Simeulue island in order to produce a high source revenue, which means also to prosper the people of Simeulue Island.

Report trip to the island of Si Maloer (Simeulue Island)
REPORT trip to the island of Si Maloer (Simeulue Island), who performed with Steam Ship Date SMBenkoelen from February 22 until March 25, 1881
BY: K.T.H. Van Langen, INDIAN GOVERNMENT DEPUTY ASSISTANT VICE NETHERLANDS
Civilization and the education they (residents of the island of Simeulue) was far below the nation of Aceh; plus their nature are gentle and docile cause, that they always lied to and deceived by the Acehnese and Malay traders are dodgy.
In general, their religion is Islam, but they rarely do Juma'at worship or religious ceremony, which was regretted by Aceh's religious leaders and the Malays, who sometimes visit the island. They admit that not much can be done with these islands, because usually they get the answer: You embraced Islam with you and our way our way.
All land that is not done is considered to be state property (in the past on the Sultan of Aceh). Forest land can be cultivated without the required permit from the village head, and anything from the forest. Cultivated land becomes the property of the work. By the time he died the land was divided equally between his children.
Islamic marriage performed. As gold mate, djinamoe, given 15 kabong (1) fabric and $ 5, and a $ 1 for the wife after the wedding night. At marriage the wife brought a female buffalo, one goat, rice at 2 nalie (2), rice seeds, se 'goendja' rice, one room in his parents' house, some chickens, a dozen plates and cups with doelang copper. If the wife dies, then all this stuff must be returned to the family, although there are children.
They are entitled to bring his wife to anywhere on this island, but are not authorized to leave. However, the children belong to her husband.
The women here are distinguished by their fertility, and it is not something special, that they gave birth to 10 or 12 children.
After the birth of first child then the father and mother provided her son with an additional name: the father or mother.
