ITINERARY
Depart Medan by Merpati or Susi Air for a one-hour flight to Sinabang on Simeulue Island. A representative of Baneng Beach Retreat will meet you and drive you to the resort where you will be warmly welcomed with food and cold drinks.
You can be in the water surfing within an hour of your plane landing and you will surf at your leisure during the duration of your stay. Our experienced guide will advise on your surfing options and you will decide where and when you want to surf.
Our accommodation is spacious, cool and comfortable with a combination of dorm-style (6 beds) and doubles. All beds have mosquito nets and doubles may be available on request.
At the end of your trip you will be taken to Sinabang airport for your flight back to Medan and your connecting flight.
Note that you may need to overnight in Medan, depending on your connecting flights. We will be happy to advise you on your accommodation options.

2009 - Booking Terms and Conditions
Trip schedule:
Your group will be met at Medan airport and transferred to your domestic plane.* You will be picked up at Simeulue's airport and taken to Baneng Beach Retreat. You will be taken on daily trips by boat or land to the surf zones in southern Simeulue. Your schedule depends entirely on you and your friends, and on prevailing surf conditions. Our experienced guide will keep you up-to-date on your best options for catching the best waves.
*Airlines often change their schedules. Please consult with your airline to ensure you have the latest times so you can plan your connections correctly. Please note that airlines charge extra for surfboards.
Package Includes:
- All airport transfers in Medan and Simeulue
- All transfers to surf breaks from resort
- Use of all of resorts facilities
- Accommodation at Baneng Beach Retreat
- All meals, drinking water, hot drinks, sodas, etc (You are welcome to bring your own duty free liquor)
- Shore excursions
Package “DOES NOT” include:
- Airfares
- Accommodation in Medan
- Excess baggage or surfboard surcharges
- Cost associated with late board arrivals
- Personal spending money
- Travel insurance
- Airport departure taxes
- Passport and inoculation costs
- Meals other than those specified

Payment Terms and Details: (fees, deposits, cancellations)
2009 Surfing Expeditions priced are based on package rates quoted on Packages page.
- 25% deposit to secure booking.
- Full payment due 15 days prior to departure date.
- Unsecured bookings will be held for 7 days or until required by other clients. Demand for prime time is heavy and it is recommended that bookings are made and deposits paid to avoid disappointment.
- Deposit is non-refundable within 15 days of departure day, but is transferable to another available date, with the consent of Baneng Beach Retreat.
- Deposit is totally non-refundable within 15 days of departure date.
- Balance payments fully refundable, less any costs Baneng incurs.
- Failure to pay balance as specified will result in loss of booking dates & deposit.
- Special rates are available for low season expeditions.
- Baneng Beach Retreat holds no responsibility for death or injuries occurred during your stay.
- Baneng Beach Retreat holds no responsibility for any loss or cancellation due to weather or natural disasters.
- Payment or part payment constitutes your acceptance of these terms.
- It is recommended that guests acquire a cancellation and/or natural disaster insurance policy before flying to Simeulue.
